Hi All

I know I've not been that active on my blog recently, but I'll be back soon!!!

My husband has been in in a car accident 2 weeks ago, and we are stranded with only one vehicle! the Needless to say it is the vehicle the I usually use, So I need to get him to work, children to school etc etc.

Hopefully everything will be back to normal by the of the week and then my creative juices will also be back to normal.

Until next time

Let's Scrap Sketch 3-14-12

Twice on one day!!! Wow that's a first for me.

In one of my previous blogs I mentioned that I love to work with the weekly Let's scrap sketches! I saw this sketch of 3-14-12, and I wanted to do it, because I had the just received the Glitz design, Pretty in Pink paper.  You can get it HERE if you like it just as much as I do.

Here is the sketch:

and this is what I did with it.

This is my middle child. Her name is Yolandi.

Thank you so much for looking!

Tiny Bubbles....

I've been blessed with three grand children and I love them all to bits! This lay out below features the smallest of the three. Her name is Jessica and she is my only grand daughter.

Jessica was born with Moebius syndrome, which means that she has NO facial expressions. To read her story click HERE. I never new about this very rare syndrome until  the doctors told us about it!I never ever thought that there were people on this earth that could not smile!!!! But she smiles from her heart!

Well back to the layout. AT the end of 2011 Jessica visited me and I played with a Bubble gun. When I saw this little face I ran for my camera, and Jandrè, my husband had a chance to play with the gun and I took pictures. Doesn't that little face show emotion? Oh my, she laughed so much and was truly amazed by all these lovely bubbles.

I used my cuttlebug, and my "drink me" embossing folder to make the pink bubbles, and then I cut them out, stickled them and stuck them all over. Then I used my silhouette to cut out the title. I used a lot of glitter glue, because I felt this page has to "shine"

Thank you so much for looking, and please share this page!

It's flat and I don't like flat!

Good morning from a real cold Gauteng, South Africa. I've had my first mug of thick vegetable soup today and boy oh boy did I enjoy.........

I got these Prima flowers (paper and 65 in a packet) and it was flat. When I started to scrap 4 years ago, flat was OK. But now it is...... well just flat, and my hands itched to make them not flat!!LOL. The colors were lovely though and I knew I wanted to use them.

So I chose a few to play with........

                                                                stuck them together,

waited for it to dry and crunched them. Here we go.......Ready to use!!!!!!

One can stickle them, glitter them, ink them etc. etc.

They are available on this link:

and here is my take on this sketch:

I love the Almanac range from Prima and it really worked well with the only two photos I had of my baby of 10 years.I did a lot of rolling and distressing. Loved every moment.

Thank you for looking.

Cheapie Challenge from me to you!

Good morning on this cool Tuesday!

One can feel winter creeping up your legs as the days go by. Fortunately it's the Easter holidays now and at 6.45 am it's dead quiet in my house as all the children are still way back in dreamland.

To keep you busy in this coming long weekend I thought to challenge you with a challenge a very good friend of mine challenged me with. She gave me this:

and told me to do a double page layout with it! She wanted to keep the layout cheap (under R50). There are 5 Bazzill cardstock and only 1 (Yes ONE!) pattern paper in this pack, and the the Celbr8 3D car. I did my layout, but with only one double sided pattern paper my planning took most of the time!!! I wanted to use almost everything on both sides! The pack cost  R43.00. Click on the link to order your pack http://bellecreations.co.za/home/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=36&Itemid=2&TreeId=30

There will be no judging on this one. A random draw will take place and the winner will receive a lovely paper stack.

I will post my layout on 30 April. The winner will be announced on 1 May 2012 here on the blog as well as on our facebook page.

My Reasons For Smiling

Well......most of the time! I love my 5 children and getting them together for a photo is a mission on it's own.

I thank God for trusting me with five beautiful children, each of them so different from each other. My life would have been empty without them.

I love working with Bo-bunny paper, so I loved doing this page!

Till next time..........keep on creating beautiful pages.
